Policy Introduction

French authorities allow drone flights under DGAC (Direction Générale de l’Aviation Civile) regulations.The DGAC issued a series of regulations for drone flight operations, and some highlights of these regulations are listed below.

Fly below the DGAC’s altitude limit (150 meters)

Don’t fly in dangerous areas

Always keep your drone within line of sight

Don’t fly over people

Respect image rights and privacy rights

Don't fly at night

  • Shots for commercial use is subject to special rules.
  • Don't fly FPV without a spotter.

Carry-on BaggageEach passenger can carry no more than 20 detached batteries on board. Attached batteries can be carried on board.
Checked-in BaggageDetached batteries cannot be checked in. Equipment with small attached batteries can be checked in.
