E5000 Propulsion System Performance

e5000

The data above was measured with an input voltage of 44.4 V, at a temperature of 25℃ and sea level. The thrust was adjusted by the throttle.

η – Efficiency, I – Current, P – Output Power, Τ – Torque, N – Rotational Speed
The data above contain theoretical values measured with an input voltage of 44.4 V, for reference only. When operating at a temperature of 25℃ with no additional cooling devices, the motor cannot operate with a current more than 70 A. It can support short term operation (about 10 to 30 sec) with a current between 40 A and 70 A, and continuous operation with a current under 40 A. The motor run time should depend on the actual environmental temperature and cooling conditions.

SOFTWARE

Weather-proof and capable of supporting large, heavy-load frames, the E5000 is designed for industrial applications in agriculture, search and rescue, mapping, inspection, and more.
Both the A3 and N3 flight controllers are compatible with the E5000. The E5000’s ESCs, when paired with the A3 and N3 flight controllers, have a protection mechanism for overvoltage, overcurrent, stall and overheat. Additionally, the flight controllers can record critical, real-time information on voltage, current, rotation speed and temperature, enabling further data analysis and maintenance of the system.
No. The 1280S ESCs use Field-Orientated Control (FOC). When working with the M10 or M10 Air, the E5000 provides a quick response with a strong thrust, allowing for extremely agile control over large multirotor aircrafts. However, the FOC algorithm was specially designed for the M10 and M10 Air and will likely not be compatible with other motors due to the specificity of its design.
The E5000’s ESCs have a redundant throttle signal design. When a throttle cable — the PWM cable on the ESCs — accidentally disconnects, the ESCs will automatically switch to a redundant throttle signal. This allows data to be received from the flight controller via a JST 3-pin cable, ensuring safer flight. Please note that the redundant throttle signal only works with DJI’s A3 and N3 flight controllers and that the JST 3-pin cable should be connected correctly between the ESCs and the flight controllers.
No. E5000 ESCs do not support throttle calibration. The PPM input range is 1120us-1920us. However, E5000 ESCs are compatible with different throttle frequencies ranging from 30- 500Hz, supporting an Input Voltage of 3.3V or 5V. The E5000 is therefore widely compatible with most flight controllers on market.
The M10 motor adopts an integrated centrifugal cooling system that combines with a circle of cooling fins at its center, significantly improving cooling capacity. It also has excellent weather-proof features for more extreme environments. The M10 Air is built with a lightweight structure that extends flight time effectively.
