Italian authorities allow pilots to fly drones but only in compliance with Italian Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) regulations. ENAC has issued a series of rules for drone flight operations, and some highlights of these regulations are listed below.
Always fly below ENAC’s altitude limit (70 m)
Always maintain visual contact with your drone
Do not fly above populated areas
Always check the ENAC website for updates and information before flying
Do not fly within 5 km of an airport
Do not fly at night
